Oluwabunmi Opeyemi Oyebode (PhD) is a Senior lecturer in the Department of English, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She was a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin, USA and a Guest Researcher at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark. She was also a recipient of the prestigious African Humanities Program Postdoctoral Fellowship (AHP) of the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) for the 2021/2022 round. She is currently appointed a Guest Researcher in a Research Network of Multimodal Discourse Analysists from Australia, Brazil, Denmark, Malaysia, Iran and Nigeria on an International Project titled “Visualizing sexual and reproductive health” steered by Centre for Multimodal Communication, University of Southern Denmark, Odense. Her research interest spans (Multimodal) Discourse Analysis, in which she has co-authored two academic books which are pioneer reading materials in Multimodal Discourse Studies in Nigeria, Media Communication and Applied Linguistics. She has published articles in reputable journals in local and international outlets such as, Journal of Pan African Studies, Discourse & Communication, Discourse & Society, Discourse Studies, Metaphor & Symbol, and de Gruyter Mouton.
