Biographical Info:
Dr. Oluwafemi E. Kale obtained Masters and Ph.D. in Pharmacology between 2014 and 2019 from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and he currently lectures and serves as Ag. Head Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria his Alma-Mata. He has conducted extensive research in toxicology and pharmacology with a particular focus on cellular injury/protection mechanisms and has made significant efforts in modulating cellular oxidative stress with bioactive phytochemicals. He has also contributed significantly to the areas of endocrine/reproductive, cardiovascular, and neuro-toxicology. His research efforts have contributed to providing important information that has improved our understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of toxicity of some therapeutic drugs and other xenobiotics of environmental/clinical importance with a view to mitigating their harmful effects. He is a member of SOT, ASPET, WASP/SOAP and an alumnus of the Nobel Laureate Meetings. He won the Professor Friday E. Okonofua Young Scientist Prize in Health Science of the noble Academy in 2021.
