Biographical Info:

Dr. Ifeyinwa Ijeoma Obianyo is a Lecturer and Researcher in the department of Civil Engineering at Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja. She holds a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, an M.Sc., and a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering (Sustainable Construction Materials specialty), from the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja. She started her career in the Construction industry where she worked as Assistant Project Supervisor and Quality Control Supervisor at BuildFort Construction Ltd, Abuja. Her desire to impact her society through teaching, STEM outreaches, and research led her to further her studies and become a Lecturer and Researcher. Dr Obianyo’ s research is focused on developing affordable and sustainable building materials using industrial and agricultural waste materials. She has published over 30 quality articles in top journals that are indexed in Scopus/SCI with over 500 citations, a H-Index of 15 and i10-index of 21 in Google Scholar. Dr Obianyo's substantial contributions to the scientific community have been recognized both nationally and internationally. She was awarded the World Bank - Pan African Materials Institute (Academic Centre of Excellence) scholarship from 2016-2020 for her Master’s and PhD degree programs. During her PhD program, she submitted an abstract of her outstanding research for a PhD international grant competition, for which she won the RILEM PhD Grant for the RILEM International Conference held at Sheffield University, UK (https://www.rilem.net/news/416). She was enlisted among the Top Elsevier 500 Authors by Scholarly Output in 2023.
