Biographical Info:
Dr. Kehinde Adewole Adeboye is an agricultural development professional with close to a decade of progressive experience in research, production agronomy, and agricultural systems strengthening. He currently serves as a Lecturer and Research Scientist at Ekiti State Polytechnic, Nigeria, where he also oversees institutional strategy as Head of the Students' Affairs Office.
With a PhD in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (Plant Breeding and Genetics), Dr. Adeboye has led and contributed to initiatives that address key challenges in food systems transformation, rural livelihoods, and inclusive technology adoption. His research focuses on climate-smart, market-driven crop improvement (maize, rice, soybean), as well as non-destructive digital tools for seed quality assessment, with applications across food, feed, and brewing value chains.
Dr. Adeboye’s experience spans the full spectrum of agricultural program delivery—from field-level production planning to policy-influencing research and private-sector engagement. He has supported and co-led donor-funded agricultural programs across Nigeria, including those focused on seed systems, innovation scaling, and climate adaptation. He brings a systems-oriented approach to agricultural transformation, having worked closely with farmers, agro-dealers, seed companies, and development agencies to align innovations with market realities and national priorities.
He is passionate about bridging research, policy, and practice, and has played a key role in building awareness and institutional linkages that connect smallholder farmers to innovations such as improved seed varieties and climate-resilient practices. His advisory work has supported farming communities and agribusinesses to realize measurable gains in productivity, sustainability, and market integration.
An alumnus of the DAAD (Germany), the World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence (ACE), and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Dr. Adeboye is also a Visiting Scientist at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Research (IPK) in Gatersleben, Germany. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications and delivered technical presentations at international forums.
Dr. Adeboye is well-positioned to contribute strategic leadership, technical insight, and multi-stakeholder coordination to advance country-level agricultural transformation agendas.
