Biographical Info:

Dr. Oyewale Mayowa Morakinyo is a lecturer at the Department of
Environmental Health Sciences, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria; a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a doctorate degree in Environmental Health from the Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa.

Dr. Morakinyo is a fellow of the Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA), and a recipient of several awards, grants, and scholarships notably, the Welcome Trust and the World Academy of Science travel grants (TWAS), and the National Research Foundation travel grant for Knowledge, Interchange and Collaboration.

His research interest is in the area of Environmental Epidemiology with a focus on housing and health, school health, pediatrics environmental exposure, and air quality. He teaches postgraduate courses in Environmental Health and has published in local and international peer-reviewed journals. He’s a member of international and national professional bodies and societies in Environment Health.
