Dr. Adebayo is an Associate Professor (Reader) of Industrial Microbiology in the Department of Pure and Applied Biology, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He has a B. Tech in Microbiology, M. Tech in Biotechnology, and PhD in Microbiology. Some Awards and Distinctions won by Dr. Adebayo include Tugbileye Prize and Mr & Mrs. Tunji Ige Adedoyin Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Biology in LAUTECH (2004), CSIR-TWAS (2010-2011) Postgraduate Fellowship Award in India, West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP) fellowship in University of Ghana (2012), TETFund Conference Grant to Dubai (2013), LAUTECH Senate grant (2013), CONACYT-TWAS (2014-2015) Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mexico, Award of Fellow of Nigerian Young Academy (2019), TETFund Institution-based Research grant (2019-2021), College Award for the Best Students in Conflict Resolution, Departmental/Faculty Commendation award at 2018/2019 Review Exercise, TETFund Institution-based Research Grant (Co-research), KWASU, Ilorin, Kwara State and others.
Dr. Adebayo is an Industrial Microbiologist/Nanobiotechnologist with expertise in Mushroom biotechnology, biomedical uses, molecular biology, and Nanotechnology.
Dr. Adebayo belongs to some reputable professional bodies/associations/research groups. Dr. Adebayo is an associate editor to some reputable journals and a reviewer for several reputable journals. Served in several academic committees and external examiner both local and International. Dr. Adebayo has a track record in academics and research. He has published over eight articles in reputable local and international journals with conference proceedings and thirty-eight registered accessions of microbes with the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI- USA).
