Biographical Info:

Obinna Ekwunife is a public health scientist with expertise in health economic evaluation, evidence-based public health, and implementation science. He applies these research methods to generate evidence to aid health care decisions in developing countries. His research focuses mainly on HIV, malaria and neglected tropical disease prevention. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Young Academy (NYA), the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AVH), and a former Takemi Fellow at Harvard School of Public Health. He was the former programme manager of Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI) Nigeria Hub, a World Health Organization/TDR-sponsored project that aims to identify and promote social innovations in health in Nigeria. Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow at Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center in Seattle, US where he is supporting pharmacy-based HIV PrEP implementation in Kenya.
